What’s Included

• 10 handmade press-on nails

• 1 nail glue

• 2 sheets of sticky tabs

• 1 nail file

• 1 cuticle tool

• 1 alcohol pad

Everything you need is in the box — no follow-up order, no trip to the shop.

Wear Time

• With glue — 1–2 weeks, and often longer with careful wear

• With sticky tabs — up to 5 days, and the set stays reusable

Hot showers, gym sessions and washing up without gloves are all quietly working against you.

How to Apply

Prep

  1. 01Trim

Trim and file your nails short.

  2. 02Push back

Gently push back cuticles with the cuticle tool.

  3. 03Buff

    Lightly buff to remove shine.

  4. 04Clean

Wipe with the alcohol pad. Let dry.

Option A · Sticky tabs

  1. 05Pick

Pick a sticky tab that fits your nail.

  2. 06Place

Place it 1–2 mm from the cuticle.

  3. 07Press & peel

Press from the center out for 10s, then peel off the film.

  4. 08Apply

At about 45°, lay it on from cuticle to tip. Slide it snug to the cuticle and hold 30s. Give it an hour before water.

Option B · Glue

  1. 05Glue

Add a small drop to the back of the press‑on.

  2. 06Apply

At about 45°, lay it on from cuticle to tip. Slide it snug to the cuticle and hold 30s.

  3. Give it an hour before water.

Option C · Sticky tabs + glue

  1. 05Pick

Pick a sticky tab that fits your nail.

  2. 06Place

Place it 1–2 mm from the cuticle.

  3. 07Press & peel

Press from the center out for 10s, then peel off the film.

  4. 08Glue

Add a small drop of glue to the back of the press‑on, then press it on over the tab.

  5. 09Apply

At about 45°, lay it on from cuticle to tip. Slide it snug to the cuticle and hold 30s.

  6. Give it an hour before water.

How to Remove

  1. 01Soak

Tabs: warm soapy water with a few drops of oil, 10–15 min. Glue: we recommend a nail glue remover. Lift a small gap at the side, add a drop in, wait a minute.

  2. 02Lift

Add a drop of oil at the cuticle edge, then ease each nail up from the side with the cuticle tool.

  3. 03Be patient

Never force or pull. If it resists, soak a little longer. Your nail matters more than the press-on.

  4. 04Clean

Buff off any leftover adhesive, then wipe with the alcohol pad.

  5. Tab and glued sets can both be worn again. Rinse tab sets; buff the leftover glue off glued sets.

Sizing

Finding your correct size ensures the most natural fit and long-lasting wear.

Before placing your order

Please review our Size Guide. Measure the widest point of each natural nail bed and match it to the closest width on the chart. If a nail falls between two sizes, size up — a slightly wide nail can be filed down, a narrow one can’t be stretched.

Please choose carefully

Because our nails are handmade and worn directly on the body, we’re not able to accept returns or exchanges for sizing — the same rule that applies to most beauty and personal care products.

Which is exactly why we’d rather you spent two minutes measuring now. Still unsure? Message us before you order — we genuinely don’t mind.

How to find your size

Measure the widest part of each nail, in millimetres.

  1. Method 1

Wrap a soft measuring tape around the nail and read it at the widest part.

  2. Method 2

Mark the widest point on a strip of paper, then measure the mark with a ruler.

Between two sizes? Size up. A nail that sits slightly wide can be filed down. A narrow one can’t be stretched.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I apply them?

1. Prep properly. Push back your cuticles with the cuticle tool, lightly buff the surface with the file, and wipe each nail with the alcohol pad. This step is boring and it is also the whole ballgame — 90% of “they fell off in two days” traces straight back to skipping it.

2. Size them out first. Lay all ten nails against your fingers and match each one before any adhesive comes out. Once glue is involved, there’s no rearranging.

3. Apply. Tabs for a gentler, reusable wear; glue for the long haul. Press from the cuticle down and hold firmly for 30 seconds.

4. Give it an hour before water.

Are they reusable?

Yes — and we’d love you to. Applied with tabs and removed patiently, a set can be worn again and again. Glue gives you a longer wear but is harder on the nail coming off, so if reuse matters most to you, tabs are your friend.

Will they damage my natural nails?

Not when they’re removed the right way. No drilling, no acetone soak, no filing down your natural nail. The damage people blame on press-ons almost always comes from impatience at removal — so please don’t pry.

How do I take them off without wrecking my nails?

Tabs: soak your fingertips in warm soapy water with a few drops of oil for 10–15 minutes, add a drop of oil at the cuticle edge, then ease each nail up gently from the side with the cuticle tool. If it resists, soak a little longer.

Glue: we recommend a nail glue remover. Lift a small gap at the side, add a drop in, wait a minute, then ease the nail off.

Never force or pull. Your natural nail matters more than the press-on.

One popped off. Is the set ruined?

Not at all. Clean off the old adhesive, re-prep the nail, and re-apply — you’ve got spare tabs in the kit. This is the quiet advantage of press-ons over acrylics: a bad day is a five-minute fix, not a salon appointment.

My set has slight variations from the photo. Is it faulty?

Almost certainly not. Handmade work carries small differences in tone, placement and finish from set to set — that’s the signature of something made by a person rather than a machine. Genuine defects (lifting embellishments, cracks, rough edges) are a different matter, and we’ll always make those right.

Something’s not right with my order. What can you do?

Tell us and we’ll take care of it. If your set arrives damaged, faulty, or simply isn’t what you ordered, email hello@urbanstudionails.com within 7 days of delivery with your order number and a couple of clear photos. We’ll make it right — a replacement, a partial refund, or a full refund, whichever genuinely fits the situation.

And in most cases you won’t need to post anything back to us. Good photos are enough.

The one thing we’re not able to do is take a set back because it wasn’t quite what you’d pictured — a size that doesn’t fit, or a shade that looked different on your screen. Nails are worn directly on the body, so like most beauty and personal care products, they can’t be resold once they’ve left us.

When will my order ship?

Every set on our site is in stock and ready to ship. Most orders leave us within 24 hours, Monday to Friday. During launches, holidays or exceptionally busy weeks, please allow up to 3–5 business days. Either way, you’ll get a tracking number the moment yours is on its way.

The one exception is custom sets — they’re made from scratch to your design, so allow 5–20 business days before dispatch.
