-
Method 2
Mark the widest point on a strip of paper, then measure the mark with a ruler.
Size chart

| S | 15 | 11 | 12 | 11 | 9 |
| M | 16 | 12 | 13 | 12 | 10 |
| L | 17 | 13 | 14 | 13 | 11 |
Between two sizes? Size up. A nail that sits slightly wide can be filed down. A narrow one can’t be stretched.
Each set has 10 nails, sized for both hands. Still unsure? Message us before you order.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I apply them?
1. Prep properly. Push back your cuticles with the cuticle tool, lightly buff the surface with the file, and wipe each nail with the alcohol pad. This step is boring and it is also the whole ballgame — 90% of “they fell off in two days” traces straight back to skipping it.
2. Size them out first. Lay all ten nails against your fingers and match each one before any adhesive comes out. Once glue is involved, there’s no rearranging.
3. Apply. Tabs for a gentler, reusable wear; glue for the long haul. Press from the cuticle down and hold firmly for 30 seconds.
4. Give it an hour before water.
Are they reusable?
Yes — and we’d love you to. Applied with tabs and removed patiently, a set can be worn again and again. Glue gives you a longer wear but is harder on the nail coming off, so if reuse matters most to you, tabs are your friend.
Will they damage my natural nails?
Not when they’re removed the right way. No drilling, no acetone soak, no filing down your natural nail. The damage people blame on press-ons almost always comes from impatience at removal — so please don’t pry.
How do I take them off without wrecking my nails?
Tabs: soak your fingertips in warm soapy water with a few drops of oil for 10–15 minutes, add a drop of oil at the cuticle edge, then ease each nail up gently from the side with the cuticle tool. If it resists, soak a little longer.
Glue: we recommend a nail glue remover. Lift a small gap at the side, add a drop in, wait a minute, then ease the nail off.
Never force or pull. Your natural nail matters more than the press-on.
One popped off. Is the set ruined?
Not at all. Clean off the old adhesive, re-prep the nail, and re-apply — you’ve got spare tabs in the kit. This is the quiet advantage of press-ons over acrylics: a bad day is a five-minute fix, not a salon appointment.
My set has slight variations from the photo. Is it faulty?
Almost certainly not. Handmade work carries small differences in tone, placement and finish from set to set — that’s the signature of something made by a person rather than a machine. Genuine defects (lifting embellishments, cracks, rough edges) are a different matter, and we’ll always make those right.
Something’s not right with my order. What can you do?
Tell us and we’ll take care of it. If your set arrives damaged, faulty, or simply isn’t what you ordered, email hello@urbanstudionails.com within 7 days of delivery with your order number and a couple of clear photos. We’ll make it right — a replacement, a partial refund, or a full refund, whichever genuinely fits the situation.
And in most cases you won’t need to post anything back to us. Good photos are enough.
The one thing we’re not able to do is take a set back because it wasn’t quite what you’d pictured — a size that doesn’t fit, or a shade that looked different on your screen. Nails are worn directly on the body, so like most beauty and personal care products, they can’t be resold once they’ve left us.
When will my order ship?
Every set on our site is in stock and ready to ship. Most orders leave us within 24 hours, Monday to Friday. During launches, holidays or exceptionally busy weeks, please allow up to 3–5 business days. Either way, you’ll get a tracking number the moment yours is on its way.
The one exception is custom sets — they’re made from scratch to your design, so allow 5–20 business days before dispatch.
